NES control on XBOX

Post by Chris » Tue Mar 22, 2005 11:02 pm

does anybody know how this could be done? I have a NES control that is set up for usb and I figured that since usb and xbox were the same that it would just work. No dice, I think I need some way to tell the xbox what it is (a driver?) if anybody could help it would be much appreciated.

or backwards engieer the drivers for the controller and incorperate it into

there is one outher option but if you understand how to do any of the above you already know

Nope the Xbox's USB is just like the USB 1.1, they made cosmedic changed so only contrllers or their stuff fits and added a yellow wire that they never used and more suprisingly no one knows what its for.

Dont know what GameCube uses, and the PS2 might use a parallel connection as I cant fathom why they'd use a 9 pin controller connection.

xbox is usb

gamecube is not exsacley USB but you can convert a regular controller to USB (not wavebird)

PS2 also is not exsacley Paralell (or maybe it is im not shure) but a controller can be converted to work in a Paralell port

Anyone know or have a link to take a PS2 controller or some other controller to USB? Or how about a pin out of a Xbox controller to USB?
When in Japan with access to just about every system ever made and those that have yet to see international soil, gather your forces, and make the cool ones your own.

PS2 is a 9-pin serial connection. They used the old controller ports so they'd be backward-compatible with the old PSX accessories.

its ez all you have to do is match up the wire collers inside the xbox controller cable and inside the UBS cable you need specal drivers to get it to work as a controller and you can use the xbox action replay PC drivers for access the memory cards in it

simple way

nicer way
