I used the Yobo FC game console.

The sound isn't that bad.
Things I need to purchase for my NES Laptop:
1X PSone screen
6X 1.2v 3500mAh sub-C's
1X 1/8'' to RCA stereo Adapater
1X Radioshack repair kit

It's not really possible to be "very bad, sorta bad, almost good"; it's either yes or no. Two of the possible three square waveforms are swapped in every NES clone I've ever seen.

Here, I whipped up a few simplified versions of common NES songs to demonstrate the difference.

Proper NES:
Yoshi's Cookie C
Tetris Ending

A bad famiclone:
Yoshi's Cookie C
Tetris Ending

This isn't a matter of whether or not anyone thinks it sounds "good", but more if it's "accurate".

...Do you? I just gave a clear example of what I'm talking about. I guess I'm to assume there is no good famiclone that has good sound. This also kinda proves that they are all based on the same core... :?

Emulation is not accurate

...Yes, but for them all to have the same innacuracy? Moreso, swapping those two voices is pretty hard to do by accident; I'm pretty sure this doesn't also count as emulation; rather, it's an innacurate clone.

Hmm; it's odd that the most widespread problem with NOAC's is the sound, which is one of the easiest things to correctly emulate or replicate.

because it's in the chip, but if one was able to produce these chips, it would be extremely easy.

do I win?
