i predict cartslot hacks will come shortly after release, hopefully if these guys are cheap the lcds will be useable in other things too!

edit: checked in the atariage forum thread and the estimated retail price is like 40$ not bad, probably digital lcd tho

This will fall before the almighty GamePort. Oh, & this has been announced on the forums at least 3 times.

Anyone care to look at the 'usb' port? Seems to be 'A' type doesn't?

Shouldn't it be type 'B' or some other sort of plug, like the mini b, or camera b?

Well, I disagree; the Gameport case is just a prototype, the final is announced to have a hinged screen much like the GBA SP. And $70-$80 for a system that emulates SNES, Genesis, NES, Coleco, Atari, etc. ? Seems fair to me!

Besides, doesn't this belong in the Atari 2600 forum? Moving...

once they add the woodgrain effect it will prolly look cool, even though I'm betting that it will just be a sticker

The Gameport can't run SNES you fool. Besides, this looks much better than the gameport design to be. Well what it sounds like anyhow.

:o Wow! I didn't know this was going on...! Heh... we love Curt, don't we? Leaking ridiculous amounts of info all the time. And SWEET that is has a USB port... hmm... now that I think about it, I remember reading a post of his on the AtariAge forums about some super secret project, and I think he mentioned something about a USB port... ah, it's kinda fuzzy.

Edit: W00t! 1000th post! Someone congratulate me! :P

Thank you! :P

Personally, the fun of an Atari portable for me would be making it as small as possible. But that's already done now. I'm a classic gamer... but I have limits. I'm SNES classic... and some NES. But I just don't have that much fun playing Atari games... I wish I could say I am, but I'm just not THAT oldschool. :?

You know what, I'll buy both :).

I'll just be a weiner and put the Atari Flash back in a new case and say I made it >: D.
