Post by The Hacker » Sat Feb 12, 2005 9:04 am

remember my small Nintendo well im ripping it apart and IM making it in to a portable
my idea is IM making it a portable/system the LCD screen doubles as a TV and you would be able to turn it off and plug in your house TV it will have 2 controller ports on it pulse one controller built in it IM not shore how big it will be cause the pocket TV i got on ebay didn't come yet

but i need help how much power should i put in it 4 AA's or a 9 volt
and how do i hook it up to the pocket TV to it

Well if its an NES the thing runs on 5v, same as the tv. I'd say if you want a good run time and not to make your own power circuit go buy a 7.2v Mi-MH batter and have power leads go to the 7805 regulators on the NES board (or if its a NOAC you'll have to reattach the regulator) and do the same to the tv.

You could stick the pocket TV on the case with velcro and use the video in plug. That way you don't have to do all the rewiring to the pocket TV.

i like the idea of the two controller ports and stuff. Thats how my SNESp is gonna be when i make it, plug it into the tv and have two player accessibility. Sounds very nice, good luck.

Call me "Velcro-Man!" The only reason I do that is because I don't have enough money to buy a screen for each system.

I recently came up with a way to attach a PSone screen using velcro-like stuff from radioshack. If anybody is interested I will make a How-To.
