NES COmputer COntroller

Post by Jongamer » Wed Feb 28, 2007 9:19 am

well online I found a guide how to attach the NES controller to the Printer port, Well First I tried useing the Diodes, nope didnt work, So I removed the Diodes and put in USB cord and used that to leech power off the USB port, nope still nothing, then lastly I attached a Battery Pack rated for 6v Slightly higher than what Is needed for the NES controller, and yet still no luck, I even too a battery out of the battery holder to see if it was overpowered and still nothing.

I'm starting to get real pissed off.

Are you sure you have it wired correctly?

I wired up a SNES controller with diodes and it didn't work the first time so I went back and double checked the connections and one of the wires got disconnected somehow.

Basically take all the XBox wires except the yellow one and solder them to the USB connector, then install XBCD drivers and you're done.

I dont know how to do a SNES/USB. But theres a website that sells the chip that you have to use for the SNES/USB. http://www.retrousb.com/kits.html

Personally, (the cheapo that I am) I'd save the 17 bucks and go with the parallel one. :D

Oh, Jongamer, did you have the diodes in the right way?

just google XBCD, youll find it easy.

and I already Succefully made 2 Xbox USB controller adaptors that work perfectly, is there a way I could possible take a USB IC out of something and attach it to the NES controller and wire it for USB? And just DL the NES USB Driver? I'll try the Diodes again, but yet I will have to go buy more because I threw em away cuz I got pissed.
