Picture of the Power NES (not portable) (P-NES!)
Moderator:Moderators
Hi there, me and my friend Kevin were kinda bored so we decided to repair and case mod his NES. So we commanded new 72 pins connectors and we disable the lockout chip. We of course had to add leds ^^. So anyway, we put a windows to see the cartridge and add 5 leds under it that we plug on the 7805 input. So here's a picture, maybe I'll put some others online and a quick movie. The paint shop had a couple of problem, but we did the best we could. The paint is black and metallic gray. We don't see so much the metallic gray on the pic, but it looks very nice while the black is ok. So here's a pic of da beast :

Yeah, we cutted out stencil in paper and use painters tape. Anyway, we spend like 2 days working on it. The first one for restoring the 72 pins connectors (we'll get new one soon), adding the leds (and buying them), cutting the window, putting a plastic windows under it. We spend the other day painting it and cutting the stencil. We gotta admit we add a couple of problem because we didn't one to put it in piece to paint it, so even with the tape, we had a couple of problem with the paint. Anyway, we're still happy with the result.
As for my avatar, it's a picture of the bear I gave to my girlfriend this christmas. She took that pic (yes, she's a gamer).

sweet.
I need to go ahead and do that (Well my own design of Course) and Mod the hell out of my NES.
I already got the CIC or NES10 or Lockout chip Disabled, didnt ground it tough because its not that Important, and my NES LED is Green now isntead of boring ol' Red. I think I may even make a some Controller LED mods.
