Laptop/palmtop screen for pocketNES?

Anyone tried this? I think it would need a special programmed driver board for converting composite video to digital data, but who knows.

Yeah, this has been brought up about as many times as the idea of turning mud into gold. And it's just about as probable to happen.
It's definetly possible, but would involve teams of people, or some kind of Kevin Horton-ish genius to pull off alone. It makes much more sense to just get a screen that takes composite video.

Yeah. It would be nice to have MacGyver here, in Poland. :]

He could do it with three resistors and a paper clip.

Palms and laptop screens are mass produced, but more importantly the same screen on a palm is on some other devices. You might get lucky and have no need for McGyver if you can find a controller board for the same LCD that accepts composite somewhere else. Odds are low but worth a shot.
