All the ones listed, plus Crystalis was pretty good. Kirby's Adventure is also a must-play.

Most NES games are fairly good, so you can buy and probably enjoy almost any NES game, but do not even try to play games by LJN, Sachen, or Acclaim. Sachen is unlicensed, but if you see it don't be tricked by the "Look its rare" things on Ebay, they all suck pretty bad. If you ever see a game with the LJN rainbow logo, ruuun very far away from that game. I have played, to date, absolutely ZERO games by LJN that are actualy fun. Aclaim makes a few games that are OK, but generally you should avoid them too.

woot i bought one.

34.99 for the system all wires a controller (original) and 2 games.
Im not sure what two games because the guy has a little "store" and all he does is sell nes and wires. He randomly selects two games then tests them out.

should be in 2-6 days

Try to get a refurbished NES if you can. If not, odds are you will have to wire or buy a new cartridge slot for it.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

Alright the games i plan to buy:
Super mario bros series
Legend of zelda (1 and 2)
kirby's adventure
metroid
Contra AND super contra
Ice climbers ( owned on gameboy advance...how could i forget all the classic nes series games i owned!)
castlevania I-III
Duck Hunt
maybe excite bike and xevious. As i find more games this list wll grow.
Of course im not getting these ALL at the same time.
i do plan on getting mario bros 1,2 and 3 right away. Even though i beat all 3 on gba and gbc.

So the order goes like this:

Mario bros 3
Mario bros
Mario bros 2
LOZ 1
Ice climbers(does the nes version have 2 player ?)
Kirby's adventure
LOZ 2
Castlevania
castlevania 3
castlevania 2
Contra/super contra
Duck Hunt
Metroid
Excite bike
Xevious

wow most of these games are dirt cheap (talking a buck to 10 mighty joe dolla)

I could most likely buy all these games for under 50 if i looked and waited

Sounds pretty cool, since you can find the games cheap, but I thought the NES console would be less expensive. I would personally try to get one locally, most normal people who own them would probably sell them cheaply, since most people have a busted or super-worn cartridge slot that does not work anymore. I got 3 systems in this fashion, and I never payed more than 5 bucks for any of them, and then after careful cleaning and re-springing the connector it works just great! Actually, on I got on a bet, a friend bet me I could not get it working again, and when I got it working he said I could just keep it, and he gave me a pile of games too boot. A thrift store near my house sells the NES system for usually about $15 with all the cords and a couple of controllers. You should NOT under any circumstances pay $65 for an NES, unless its a top-loader style. I think this is ridiculous that people are making that kind of a killing on Ebay with old NES hardware. Hey, maybe I could make a killing... naw, I'll probably just be honest instead...
