Idea for a Portable

Post by vb_master » Thu Jun 24, 2004 6:58 pm

I was thinking, why not put a 4x4 Atari 2600 board into the Jakks-Pacific 2600 joystick. The Jakks-Pacific joystick has all the switches you need, a battery slot, enough room for everything, and a joystick built in to boot. After all thats crammed in, you should have enough space for a cartidge slot, one of those cheap Hip-Gear screens, a 2nd player joystick connector, a AUX 1st player joystick connector, and the player diffulculty switches. Here's a question;

What are the dimensions for the Jakks-Pacific Atari 2600 Controller?

Just an idea! :wink:

AFAIK, the dimensions are the same as a 2600 joystick, but with about 150% of the thickness

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Hmm, is the bottom of the Jakks-Pacific 2600 the same size as a regular Atari 2600 joystick? I don't know if I might be able to squeeze the board into a gutted Jakks-Pacific 2600.
