I just found out from the power joy suppliers that the Power Joy II that I use is now longer available in the US, and only available in PAL.
Also, here's a picture of it.

The European format is PAL, which is not compatible with the NTSC setup in the US

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

yeah, unfortunately. I like the power joy II a lot also. The entire board is about the size of a nes controller too.

I have a NES in an N64 controller and on the board you can set whether it is PAL or NTSC by replacing a clock-signal-generator-thing and jumpering a couple of points.

That would be quite nice if it works with the pal power joy II, then I suppose I could still get a new one.

At my local mall you can buy the Super Fun Joy things for about 23 bycks or so. They are the models I and II. They are being sold at a stand in the middle of the food court. I like my Jakks Atari Better though.

At the mall I go to, the Super Joy is located near the food court, next to a hermit crab stand. Best of all, no body's ever there.
