nes-famicom converter

Post by gannon » Wed Jun 16, 2004 7:54 pm

The last 72-60 pin converter diagram I found was wrong, so I decided to make my own. All I did was take the 60-72 pin converter out of a gyromite cart and work backwards with it. If anyone else has the a correct conversion I'd like to know if mine is correct or not.

Also, remember that on the side with pins 1-30 on the famicom port corresponds to pins 37-72 on the NES port, and pins 60-31 correspond to pins 36-1 on the NES port.

Useful, but just what do the "1|72" things mean?

NOTE: This guest is, rather obviously, a total newb when it coems to making portables and the terms and secret codes used for such.

pins 1 and 72. I'm not quite sure if this is 100% correct though

I see. Guess I'll be taking advantage of this in the near future.

Speaking of which, any reccomendations for a particular kind of wire of cable or something that'll make it easy to do this and won't break or anything like that when I put the port wherever I plan to put it(most likely somewhere around where ben put it on his)

I'll be honest with you - I would have never guessed that.

Ok, so pin 1 on the nintendo will have 2 wires connected into it and pin 72 will have to wires connected into it, correct?

I need to do this for my NOAC portable.

That's what it seems like. Either way, this will be very useful once I get my hands on the proper supplies.
