a noac is as simple as it gets.

the oddessey is incredibly large and expensive, and it is about 80% board game anyway. And if you wanted to make your own oddessey, it will be very difficult, especially if you can not even figure out how to hook up video to a screen.

The Odeyessey already runs of 6 C batteries.
Can you cut down the board to make it smaller?
If you plan on making one, use a PS1 screen(cause of the size...)

I really don't think you understand the system. The games are just a few lines and blocks on the screen. All color and anything else comes from plastic screen overlays that came with the games. There are no 5" overlays.

The odyssey is like a 5-bit system.
FYI : I can make my own 5 inch plastic overlays.

if I remember correctly, the odyssey was nothing but some transistors and diodes hooked up to make some lines come across a screen, without any real "programming", so it is not 5 bit. I have no idea how little you can cut the odyssey mobo, but it would still probably be too big to use a psone screen on. also, how would you hook up the video to the psone screen from the odyssey? it would be harder as it uses some coaxial connection while you need composite(which you may find on the mobo, but I have no idea)
