Super Joy Sales Problem

I saw this gift shop next to my school, which sells believe it or not, bootlegged items. I was rummaging for something interesting. My eyes caught sight of the Power Player (TM) on the shelf. The box said power player accompanied by the fight scene in STAR WARS (TM) Episode I (TM). Inside a controller with Super Joy III, written in Itallic, with a realistic looking gun, accompanied with a Genesis ripoff controller. It was 18 dollars, and I had that much money in my pocket. Now when I brought it to the counter, the guy would NOT sell it. He said it was broken. I didn't believe him for somereason. He told me, when a customer plugged it in, and turned it on, nothing happend just a black screen. Then again I explained about the cart slot and how you may require a cartdridge. He didn't believe me. So he wont sell it. Someting about trading it as scrap, whatever. So now heres my question. Do you need a cart to run the super joyIII, or does it have built in games. Thanks.

Why do you think he won't sell it, is it REALLY broken, or can I repair it, maybe its just the acturle rca connector thats broken.

Unless you could fix it it would probably be cheaper to buy a new one.
And if it is bootleg stuff he probably doesn't want to deal with someone returning it if they can't fix it if it is the inner workings and not the rca.

Might not have built in games. Tell him that.

Tell him that it's a console, and it needs a game cartridge to work.

Then say, I won't return it if it is REALLY broken.

I did the cartridge thing, but the guy wouldn't budge. I like soundwave's(my kind of jesus's) ideas though.... I guess I gotta go to Gannon, or some other bootlegged joint. Notice I say joint and NOT store

Have somebody else that you know go in and try to buy it for you.
Mabye he is mad at you

or tell him you can fix it

I tried the send guy, hes REFUSING, maybe he saw me. I opened it (he let me) and explained allll crap to him. Who knows, maybe the custome who previously bought it WIRED it wrong.

Bring a small TV with you ( like a 5" B+W or a pocket TV, not a 13" tv) and ask if you can test it.

If he let you open it, then he might let you test it...

Just a theory.

Yeah, bring in something to put the video on. Show him it works and mabye he'll be glad to sell it to you.
If that dosent work...

if you have a gameboy, tape on some wires and shove em into the AV port on the controller, and tell him your moving the video to the gameboy. then load up super mario bros or something on the game boy and see what he says. Be shure to use a lot of electrical words in your explination to confuse him.(dont confuse yourself though)

nah, hes stubborn, but thats the question WHY. The guy is very well i cant insult, against my karma, but he is one stubborn fool.
