Atari 2600 Composite Video Mod Help

I'm trying to do a Composite Video mod on a Atari 2600 4 switch wood grain model, but I cant get any picture to show up at all.
I'm following the steps in this: http://www.benheck.com/book/support/Atari2600VidMod.htm

And here is what I have

The transistor above the pink coil has the middle pin removed, I also tried it with both that and the coil completely removed.

Any idea's on what I can try next would be great!

I was finally able to get the mod to work. I ended up using a different method that seemed to work. Ill post it here just incase anyone seems to have the same problem.
Another problem my system seemed to have had was that the power switch wasn't working properly, took it apart and gave it a good cleaning and it works much better.
