ye i know how to test a mosfet with the continuity tester on a multimeter, I have done that before with motor driver boards. But that link and the tutorial you gave me will be really usefull. This way i can test the mosfets before replacing them all. Hopefully I will find the faulty one straight away! I cant do this yet though, as I am on holiday until sunday when I come back, so I will post here again, telling you what I have done.

Thanks for the help! :D :D :D :D :D :D

I checked all the mosfets like in the tutorial, and they all seem fine, but the mobo still doesnt work.
I bought an old elite I am having problems with though, would you be able to help?

I cannot think what is wrong with the jasper motherboard, its refusing to be fixed! The only thing I havent done is check the 2 mosfets underneath is, but i doubt they are blown.

Thanks

Hi - I just spent all day replacing every single mosfet from an old falcon board onto the broken jasper board with the 0001. Before I did so though - I noticed something strange. When I turn it on with a jasper power brick it doesnt show 3rrod and turns the power brick red and doesn't come on (the power brick works, I use it all the time). When I plug it into an 175w falcon power brick, I turn it on and it goes to 3rrod 0001 instantly, and the power brick goes back to orange again. I dont know why this is happening. Anyways, I spent all of today replacing all the mosfets, only to test it tonight and find out it still does the exact same.

Would it be possible that one of the capacitors have blown? And how would I find which one is blown and replace the right one or would I have to replace them all?

A shame this Jasper board is refusing to fix, its a really nice board, and its one of the ones which is a much darker shade or green - quite rare I think (not sure but I have only ever seen this board that is so dark green).
