I have a xbox laptop, and am wondering/fantasizing about making a separate battery pack for it. My questions are:
What type of battery(lithium?) would I use and where could I find it?
How long would it last?
How would I connect it to both charger and the xbox laptop? How heavy and bulky would it be?
Also I was wondering, if it would be possible for example to take a 6/more cell battery from a fairly big laptop and use that?
Thanks
Seb Smith

well if you can afford to spend $700+ then sure, go ahead!
the battery life would be quite poor, maybe even less that 1 hour.
these are the reasons that no-ne has built a fully portable xbox 360 yet.

ok, i understand. the battery would cost about how much the xbox is worth. pointless then.
but would it be possible to power it from 12v from a car battery, while the engine is running?
thanks

That on the other hand is entirely possible. The simplest way is to just get a car power inverter, which converts the 12v DC from your car to 120v AC house power. These are pretty cheap and available at a lot of local stores, including discount retailers (Target, Walmart, etc) and hardware stores.ssmith43654 wrote:ok, i understand. the battery would cost about how much the xbox is worth. pointless then.
