Xbox 360 laptop selling price.

Hello,

I am making an xbox 360 laptop(I have not finished yet). Stupidly, I connected my hitachi dvd drive the wrong way round and blew it. I have found a guy who will extract the key and flash it onto a lite-on drive I have(the 93450C). He says I might get banned for a different dvd drive.

Will I get banned?

How can I avoid getting banned?

How much would my xbox laptop sell for if it was banned or if it wasnt banned?

If you go on Live you will eventually get banned with a modded 360. Just a matter of time. No way to avoid it.

You can never tell. Sometimes immediately, sometimes months or a year. Depends.

Xbox 360 laptops aren't selling for nearly what they used to. I would say for a very professional build you would be lucky to get a $1000.

I ran a lite-on system with a benq drive for a few months without getting banned, but I've read that they can now detect spoofing, so I got a laser assebmly for the original drive. I'd say buy another hitachi, but there hasn't been an ixtreme release for that drive in a long time. Unless you could get the new hitachi flashed with your key and stock firmware, then it will never be live-safe. You will probably get a few months out of it, but there is no way to be sure.

I if buy another hitachi 79 (like the old one) and flash the old dvd drives key in to the new one, will I get banned?

Does microsoft detect a change in year of the drive and ban you?
