Things not needed in the ps3?

Some I'm aware of is the card reader, and the fan. What else do you not need? The console will still have to be usable. Don't say wifi card as it controls the controllers also. Thanks for the help guys!

Um, you probably don't want to get rid of the fan. Overheating is bad.

but it is a need-not. Meaning it's needed but not to run.
