XBOX 360 Laptop Blog

Post by ssmith43654 » Sat Sep 25, 2010 4:19 pm

I have been working on a xbox 360 laptop and I have been putting together a case for it. Here is the link to the blog

http://seb3.yolasite.com/sebs-blog.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Lately my xbox 360 jasper has developed the 3 rrod and it is an error code 0022. If you have any suggestions on how to fix it ( I am planning on getting a reball for £49 (70$) please comment on my thread on that subject (you will find it if you view all my posts in my account)

What do you think of my progress?

Here is the link for it

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/5-25-LCD-Control- ... 53e35a5e59" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I took it out of it's housing so that it is only the small circuit board now. It shows the cpu and the sys temp with little temp sensors. It took me about 3-4 days for me to recive this item (bear in mind it came from hong kong)

If you are more interected in this then I can do a short video of it and post it on utube and put the link to it on the thread

Thanks (any ideas on how to fix a 3rrod (tried reflow) I plan on doing a reball - it's a jasper motherboard - got the 0022 error code :cry: :( )

Thanks, are you using the cpu side for the cpu and the sys temp side for the gpu? you just hook it into your power and then place the probes where ever correct? And sorry no ideas for the RROD i usually just send them into M$ for replacement ones. I don't have any experience in reflowing or reballing.

Yea thats it - you connect the 2 wires that go into the molex connector to 12volts (I also discovered it works perfectly fine on 5volts aswell)

If you put those Youtube URLs inside the Youtube forum tags, they'll display inline:

Code: Select all

[yt=(width),(height)]put regular web URL of Youtube video here[/yt]
Also, the latest video has the extraordinarily-lame "this video contained content from WMG, you can't do that mutter mutter" picture rather than the video.

Fight MS Paint abominations! If you don't have a camera, go here, and pick something 3 megapixels or higher.

Hello everybody!

I have very nearly finished the xbox laptop, all I have to do now is put the cover onto the back of the screen and then it is done! I have fixed on the friction hinges but I had to do a little reinforcement to the screen as the hinges were so strong. I am going to spray paint the back of the screen gloss black with fluorescent green writing saying 'xbox laptop'! Right now I am waiting for a bit epoxy resin to dry on the screen so I can screw the cover on and open it up and test it. The bright green leds look absolutely great when its on, I have put led's behind the rear fans, behind cpu fan, behind 2 front vents, behind eject and sync buttons to light them up and one behind the volume control. Also when I was testing it with the cover on I noticed the temperatures where going up a bit, although I couldn't test it because the temperature monitor wasn't on. I just touched the cpu heatsink and it was quite hot, I could keep my hand on it, but it was hot, I wonder if this is safe? anyway I cant change the cooling system now as it is all put together.

Thanks again, for all of the support for the project and for seeing my blog!
