Which wireless adapter would be better? Price, range, performance. I've tried to hack an old router but then I bricked it so that's out of the options.

The N one because it has an external antenna. And is cheaper.
Don't forget that if you have any G device on an N network, all the speeds are reduced to that speed. Just thought I'd mention it.

I bought a Xbox 360 VGA cable and it doesn't even work. Just ordered it from eBay. Could I use it and connect it to the composite cable?

No. Composite =/= RGB (VGA). Also, component =/= RGB.
But as to why the cable doesn't work, does your monitor support 1024x768? I think that's what it defaults to for the first setting.

Do I need to screw the ground wires to where it was screwed down before? Or can I just cut those out? These are the ground wires that go to the motherboard of the monitor and the soundboard.

New problem!
So Ive done the VGA mod.

I've done everything it said to do. I made it so that it will go straight to VGA only. And when I connect it, there is no video and there is NO 4 red lights. Please help. :D
