Led mod a 360 controller

I have had this MadCatz third party 360 controlelr for a long time ( i do not own a 360 i only use this contoller on my computer )

I thought it would be cool if i could led mod it

==================== Questions ==================================

1.) what voltage does the controller take when connected to the usb
2.) I have a 1.7 volt 20MAH led so what resistor should i get

You've got 5v coming from that there red wire of yours, so you'll want to adjust according to that. Someone else will have to come in and help unless it really is as simple as 5v - 1.7v = your answer

Also, don't worry about the white and green, those are data.

There are loads of online LED calculators to do that for you, just Google up "LED calc" and you'll find a bunch of them.

Red = 5v
White = D-
Green = D+
Black = Ground
Screwing up is one of the best learning tools, so long as the only thing you're not learning is how to screw up.
