GPU and CPU x-clamp question?

I've been researching x-clamp mods for a while and was wanting to do one on my system but didn't know if I needed to do both the GPU and CPU x-clamps or not? Some sites say don't worry about doing the CPU only work on the GPU but I've been reading a lot of different opinions and was hoping that someone could clear things up for me.

I've always done both. The problems usually do lie in the GPU, but doing both can't hurt.

Re: GPU and CPU x-clamp question?
i wouldnt do one because when your doing the x clamp fix both chips need to have a good level support or so the metal housing from my past experiences from doing one its not worth it cause when your tightning them screws the board bends and the solder on the chip el probally break loose resulting in doing the same thing OVER lol.

Re: GPU and CPU x-clamp question?
I figured while I had it apart, I might as well do both. I was just wondering if there was a big difference.
Re: GPU and CPU x-clamp question?
You might want to also head to Llamma and pick up the pipe linked CPU GPU heatsinks. this was a big part of the MS solution for RROD.
While you got it open maybe add the case fan too.
