Don't pull out the pins. More than half of them are already missing, meaning that you will not be able to do anything with this anymore...
Be more careful with this stuff.

I'm not sure if I know what I'm looking at. Is it just blurry or is 64M320N3 right and you're missing some pins? Because that would be a problem and you'd have to try again. What specifically is one of the inconsistencies you were talking about?
It takes a big man to cry, but it takes a bigger man to laugh at that man.

Well, i thought i was pretty careful in not pulling out the pins, i guess i was unsuccessful
i kept everything in one general workspace,
looked everywhere to see if i had misplaced some pins
thanks for the help guys,
didn't know if i had misplaced any, or if they were just missing by factory standard
a novice at work made a mistake xD

Re: xbox 360 Video Pinout Problem
I found it easier to buy a cheaper version of microsoft vga cable theyre like $10 all I did was add the extra composite wires in case I want to use a tv instead of the 17"
I mean whats $10, it takes less time to work for $10 than it would to make the cable :\ well for some people
Unless you mean the vga cable won't work for that xbox 360 but I've never heard of that :S

Re: xbox 360 Video Pinout Problem
I don't know about the Halo 3 ed. but I do know that my HDMI ed 360 elite did NOT have all of the pins by default. The majority were blank. When I ordered a third party cable (it came with a high def audio cable which I actually wanted/needed and was on sale for $2.97) it had all of the connectors present. If you do not think that you removed the pins, then it is likely that you didn't. It probably just didnt have them to begin with.
Re: xbox 360 Video Pinout Problem
the truth is that the new av cables out today dont have all the metal pins like the old one back in 07 so there missing the vga activate pins.. i noticed that and it costed me two av cables

Re: xbox 360 Video Pinout Problem
Sorry to revive an old thread like this, but I was able to cut my own pins for an Xbox360 cable from the metal shield in a Playstation. The very thin one that goes over the controller ports.
I used some scissors from the dollar store and they cut just fine. The strip curls up so you must un-wind it, then straighten it. Make sure that it sits in the connector properly, if you remove one of the original pins you will see that it has a bend that keeps the end pressed in the bottom of the slot. (I can take a picture if you need one, maybe I need to start a new thread with this info.)
I took some micro-needle-nose pliers and twisted the end 90° for soldering, it should be OK.
I was using a Madcatz Xbox360 to PSX cable (came with an RF adapter).
You can skimp on grounds quite easily. I only used 2 grounds for the video section and 1 for the audio (+1 for the ID pin), that is still 4 grounds, more than enough.
The OP on this thread has plenty of pins for what he needs to do, just pull out some of the ground pins and move them around (The cable ID pins can probably share a ground, the audio section doesn't need 2 grounds, etc.)
