Not to mini-mod or anything but I totally agree.

It has always seemed strange to me that a discussion about a game gets moved to the forum that is setup for discussing the modding of that system.

I thought that Forum 42 was supposed to be the place for discussing stuff that doesn't apply to modding?

Plus, why did this thread get moved yet the PS3 Slim discussion remains in Forum 42? *sigh* Anyway...

What was good about Lost Planet? The acting? No. The gameplay? No. The storyline? No. The difficulty? No.

What's left?

I thought the single player mode was just fine. Not perfect by any means, but enjoyable nonetheless. I thought the gameplay was terrific actually. For me the best part of LP was the multiplayer. I fought waaaaaayyy too many battles online in this one, but it was so much fun! One of the few games where I actually enjoyed the multiplayer component (Halo 3 & COD:WAW being the others).

The voice acting was a bit weak, but it really wasn't any different from any other Japanese game including the Final Fantasy series. The voicework/dialog in Japanese games is always a bit on the cheesey side for me and generally way over the top.

Just played Mirror's edge again. I'd have to put it up there with halo 3 and the orange box (Portal).

I couldn't get into Lost Planet that much, but it wasn't a bad game. I could see how others could like it, but it just seemed like an inferior Halo to me.

Geometry Wars 2. I love games with the Robotron/Bangai-O control scheme.

Halo 2
Been playing it long enough that it is a completely different game than Halo 3. Most people that are actually good at Halo 2 don't switch to 3. except maybe pros that get payed to -.- there's not more skill in halo 3 it's just different, the way your guys moves, the speed difference in of lot of things, the way things look, cheap automatic rifle... Just disgusts me.

It's fun, but the multiplayer is basically the same. And that makes me sad, because I get a lot more play time out of live then I do campaign. The campaign is great, but think of the game as more of an expansion pack to Halo 3 instead of a standalone game.
