Xbox360 voided warranty question

Post by Kadok » Sat May 03, 2008 9:37 am

I have heard some people say things about this but I could never get a direct answer. If I have voided my xbox360 warranty by taking it apart and painting the shell, and then it breaks (but its not my fault) can I still send it back to microsoft. a lot of people say you can, but you just get it back white.

Once you crack open the case, you're poked on the warranty, regardless of what you opened it for.

Unless you were very careful removing and replacing the Microsoft sticker throughout the process.

..which I once did my mistake. 8) I was opening a 360, taking apart the two halves of the case, and the sticker just peeled itself off, perfectly intact! It's only happened once though, so don't count on it.
