I'd Beta it. XD Unfortunately, I do not know C++.
It'd have to be mostly GUI based, WYSIWYG editor.
Warranty-Voiding fun!

I'm writing this in Visual Basic 6.0, not C++.

Yes, unfortunately most people have the misconception that VB is only for database and stuff like that... Actually it's a quite powerful language, and as far as writing games with DirectX IM goes, it's not much different than C++ (only without pointers and is slightly slower.)

wonder if we can convince someone to convert VB to C++ for a gp2x port. would have to set it up to be very low sys requirements and stuff but might be possible

Heh, ya I used to make 2D games in it, never thought about DirectX in VB though.

Oh, yeah, vb is way powerful! I love VB! My friend made this sweet all 3D universe fly by in VB. I think I still have the source to it!

Is VB similar to Dark basic if it is close enough I might be able to run this game with the source code in dark basic. that would be awesome because im learning to program in dark basic and I could use it as a base engine for future games by me, if it is okay with you ofcourse marshalh

Not really, although the syntax is similar, that's about where it ends. DarkBasic provides nice little wrapper functions for moving/rendering objects, where in VB/C++ you must deal with DirectX's hairyness directly.
Although I don't have a problem with people using my source code, I really think it's better to study code and re-write it into your own program yourself... And I speak this from experience

Yep, whenever I start learning a new language I try to grab source code of it and start editing it to learn it's ins and outs, then start hitting the books on it for learning the deeper stuff.
