This is a summarized guide on how to make your own tablet.
Needed
Beagleboard, I recommend the Xm because it has a 1ghz processor, much like a real tablet and 512mb ram
Any size open frame touchscreen over 5" but I reccomend a 10" that accepts s video or component
Component to s video (if your screen doesn't accept s video)
5v battery
DPDT Switch
2.5mm barrel jack male and female
A slim hobbybox to fit your project inside
Instructions
Wire the DPDT switch like the diagram in my guide on how to make a oblige portable system in the other system section.
Load a x86 compatible OS (android or ubuntu) ISO image on a SD card
Put everything inside of the case and cut slots for the screen, SD card slot, and the power button
Plug in a OS SD card and turn on your tablet

The Beagleboard isn't x86, it's ARM Cortex-A8 and can't boot from .iso files anyway.WTB360LABTOP wrote:TLoad a x86 compatible OS (android or ubuntu) ISO image on a SD card
This isn't a piece of Ikea furniture, it's not as simple as your 'guide' makes it out to be to build a tablet out of it. What you posted is more a high-level overview than a guide.
Though it is possible, and has been done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-AlAt8p78E" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
