English 0.0.1 (Download)
Full of bugs and rather incomplete!
This is a cute little program that interprets, you guessed it, English.
Sort of.

It's very strict, think Highschool English teacher strict.

If you're wondering, I blame XCVG for this little creation.
See here.

Nice little example program!
(This is about as complex as you can make it right now :P )

Code: Select all

Start HelloWorld
Screen says "Hello World!"
Get anything
End program
Save it as whatever you want, and just click and drag it onto English.exe!
(Or call it from the command line, whatever)

Obviously the beauty (horror) of this is that nearly anyone who reads that can tell what it does!
... I'm not proud...

I'm sure at least one programmer here hates me now.
If you don't, take a look at the source, then reconsider.

No, but I'm sure your English teacher hates you. Miss-spelled? :P

Anyway nice concept, however the whole thing could be much cleaner and expandable with vectors (as you're using STL stuff) or linked lists if you decide to move away from STL (I suggest this hehe).

EDIT: Actually a character pointer would be sufficient enough, not thinking straight.

Shush

For god's sake I'm using if-statements :P
If I ever take this anywhere, a LOT is gonna change.

I laughed really hard. Then I realized you actually made an interpreter and it wasn't a joke.
