ok here is a list of dreamcast dev tools and by the looks I remember seeing that GTP was being coded in C++
Well these tools seem to indicate a dev process where C++ code can be placed on a Dreamcast format disc

Sure, you can code in C/C++ for the Dreamcast. But it's not like you can drag-and-drop the code for another platform. I'd probably end up rewriting 90% of the code, because it's all built around building N64 RDP displaylists. The N64 is a weird beast, the Dreamcast shares a lot more similarities betweeen itself and modern systems.
In any case, I'm keeping the high-res textures I have, and the additional textures I make for objects will have a 32x32 N64 version as well as the original. So, if the time comes to port GTP to the Dreamcast, we won't be stuck with blurry textures.
