Well everyone will model themselves in a diferent style and then the population will look carzy. There should be some kind of template...*o* wrote:i think (if this hasnt already been suggested) that people in the 1339 0f p0r7a813 cru5ad3r5 should be able to make a model of themselves to be a NPC that walks down the street drives a car ect.

I'm wondering...can there be a "random item" effect? How about this:
There's a hobo or something that constantly begs for Ramen during the day. If you give him ramen, he'll give you a random electronics component, battery, whatever that you will need in game. The item you'd get is completely random, and you'd never know when you'd get something as simple as a pack of resistors, a thrown out game system (say an NES with a worn out connector) or an LCD TV that could be repaired. After all, people are always throwing away electronics.
Also, if you come to him at night, his random ramblings in his sleep could leave clues and ideas to what you should do to make a good portable, or a bonus game. He might just be an unempoyed member of the old Atari company you could help get back to his former status, and his knowledge could give, say, a 30% boost in knowledge, and thus, portable resale value, for the rest of the game.

Warranty-Voiding fun!
I think the random idea would be something kewel. I mean, yeah we could do a hobo, but why not make all the NPCs interactive? In a fully interactive world, you'ld have to sort through the garbage, and the actual information required in creating the portable. This would make the game all the more challenging and fun. For example
If you think about interactivity to that extent (and deeper) for every NCP, it would make the game a far more interesting and addicting place to play... And maybe there could even be a mode where you function as a n00b and Ben and others (Mods, Senior members, Kevin Horton * *, etc.) could help you create a GCP or other tough game system to build...[/i]Grand Theft Portable wrote:Ben: Here Mr... um... Hobo, I brought you some ramen
Mr. Hobo: Who are you? Ahh, nevamind... I like ya kid, so I'll give ya some good infamation. The fah switch Ahtari mothabahd is way easia ta cut-down than tha 6-switch... *SLURRP*
In game message: You have made Mr. Hobo very happy and he has givin you some information. Save or Delete?
*Next day*
Random Townsperson: Say, Ben, I here you're making a portable. Here's a tip, the PSOne screen stinks, you can't use it for a portable of any kind.
On screen message: You have spoken to a Townsperson who has given you some information. Save or Delete?

Quite! He is.
*Oh and by the way Fan, the correct term is NPC, as in Non-Playable-Character, not CPU.
