Here is a map showing our location:
http://www.starwoodhotels.com/sheraton/ ... loorKey=-1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
We are in Section 5. It is 541 sq feet.
Here are the tables available:
8FT x 1.5FT classroom tables 198
8FT x 2.5FT tables VERY limited
6FT x 1.5FT classroom tables 28
6FT x 2.5FT double wide tables - VERY limited
72" Rounds 57
66" Rounds 50
60" Rounds 30
4FT tables 11
Cocktails Tables 12
1/2 Serps 12
1/4 Serps 7
Fill in for Serps 5
High Boy Tables 3
Does anyone want to come up with an area layout? With hopefully LESS tables than last time?

Here's the room page: Link
Could probably do 4 TVs on those round tables, one facing each direction. It might be a good idea to keep that kind of "stand around and watch" stuff away from the doors, to maximize traffic flow.
Once, you just had a panel. Then you had a booth. Now you have a whole room?! Ben, you're slowly taking over MGC.
Edit: Here's a bigger, cleaned up copy of the room layout (for all your MS Paint needs):

Serp tables are rectangular tables with a bit of a curve, generally very good for exhibits. Good corner tables too.
If you guys are interested, here's how the floor plan is filling up:

Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Benheck Room
Here's what I'm thinking.
"Dev Stuff" is some other guys that might be in there as well, since the museum ran out of room.
Look OK to everyone? I just sent it to Dan.
Figure we let people build stuff behind the top 2 and bottom 1 tables, left table we just set crap on. Middle tables are for general purpose hanging out, and BPP goes in the corner (like Baby)
I have that carpet bit from last year, but we'll need more. Can anyone bring a solder dropcloth?

If you replace the bottom 8'/1.5' with a Serp you can make a happy room!

Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Benheck Room
I'm planning to bring my n64 and dev tools, I am well on my way to having a playable demo.
I'd need space for a N64+TV. I can bring my ghetto 14" TV but if anyone has a better one, do speak up

Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Benheck Room
if somebody has 1-3 demo videos they would like to display i have a device that would be perfect for the job, just need to put it in a different case. and i will be bringing tools and parts and all kinds of other stuff probably.
i did have a question, if we have stuff for sale can we do that in the BHE area or if its a significant amount of stuff (more than one persons worth) would we need a vendor table or what? i think this may have been discussed before but i dont remember

I've wondered this too. I've been thinking this could be a good opportunity to sell a few things if I can.Triton wrote:i did have a question, if we have stuff for sale can we do that in the BHE area or if its a significant amount of stuff (more than one persons worth) would we need a vendor table or what? i think this may have been discussed before but i dont remember

I was wondering this too. I got some sega cd fuses, and I was hoping to do some Nomad screen replacements if the screens will arrive before I head up there.Triton wrote:i did have a question, if we have stuff for sale can we do that in the BHE area or if its a significant amount of stuff (more than one persons worth) would we need a vendor table or what? i think this may have been discussed before but i dont remember

Third post down, Ben's. Unless this has changed I would image we can have our own vendor tables.

Yeah, when I was talking with Ben he said that the idea was that we (or he, I forget) bring in enough people that it's a good enough tradeoff for the event as a whole.

Re: Midwest Gaming Classic Benheck Room
Well, I found out yesterday that I'm scheduled to work every day up to MGC.
I am going to hold off on bringing the N64 stuff this year, I don't think I have enough to make it worthwhile
