I had a few issues with some of the systems in the museum area last year that some of you were able to fix (a Turbo Duo for one, thank you again!) This year hopefully I won't have any issues with transport, but I do have two systems I'm hoping someone might be able to take look at and fix?

I have a GP32 FLU that appears to have a broken solder from the front light to the power. The unit will not turn on properly now, so either it is just not making a needed connection because of the solder (I hope) or it may be a more serious problem.

Second, I'm still having problems with the same Twin Famicom from last year. The sound gave out during the show last year, though sometimes the you can hear some of the audio below a loud humming noise coming through the speakers. I've been told it is likely just a cap issue, but I have no way of fixing it.

Anyone want to take a look at one or both of these units at the show?

Thank you,

- J.D. Norman

Speaking of tools

Does anyone have an extra tip for a Radio Shack soldering I could have?

Is there anyone going to MGC with some portable containing a PSOne screen that's LED-modded? (I would think the answer is yes)

I would like to see what the LED mod looks like before I get rid of the cold cathode backlight.

Fight MS Paint abominations! If you don't have a camera, go here, and pick something 3 megapixels or higher.

Due to the fact that my job switched pay periods, I got paid $174 this past Friday instead of this coming Friday and getting around $400 like I should have. Therefore, as of right now I don't think I'm going to be going because I don't have the money for the vehicle I was going to buy for this trip. :( Kinda sucks because I already took work off and put money towards the suite and my tickets.

Not really, my stepmom is fairly uptight about my dad lending his kids money, and there's no one else who has money to lend.

I've been thinking things over. I'm going to try and have the ModularNES finished tomorrow. If not finished by then, it will come to MGC with me and will try to finish it there.

Also if I have the time and patience after doing the ModularNES. I'm going to try and have the G-MOTE Mark II rebuilt and completed. This time using less electrical tape hopefully . And if I don't get it finished at home or don't finish ModularNES in time. I'll bring the G-MOTE to MGC with me too. And work on it there some.

And I'm also going to bring the Uglyboy Advance with me, for the lolz of course :P .

Some small bad news. I'm having a hard time finding somewhere near me that sells Ale 8 One. (And no, the company is not dead.) So if things keep going the way they are. I'm going to be forced to think of something else that's local or made in Kentucky to bring. :(

Good news, I found some places that sell it near me! Woo!

Edit: Score 8)

Now to put these babies in the fridge until I leave.

If I were to bring a Wii, two Wiimotes, one Guitar Hero controller, and GH: Metallica, 1) could anyone bring the other instruments and 2) would anyone be interested in playing a bit?

Additionally, I've got a smallish flatscreen TV. Maybe ~15" (I don't care enough to learn about stuff like this :v). I was planning on bringing that along no matter what, as I'm sure we can find some use for it.
