yep. should be the same results, as long as you wire it the same. though you may want to be careful with them protection circuits. they may be for 3.7 volts. i assume you want 7.4?

and, your avatar, it is good.

the batteries in my cell phone are 3.7 volts and 950 mah. i find them to be much more cost efficient than these li-po's. if i connect two of them to double the voltage and then connect the other two to do the same, then connect all four to double the mah to 3800 will it be safe AND effective?

You would need 8 of them to get 3800 mAh at 7.4v

Depends on the N64 revision you are using and the screen you are using. But worst case scenario is an hour best case is 2 hours with a later revision board and a small led screen.

Ok. So for my portable I am gonna get 3 of these batteries and the charger and PCB that goes with it. Is the charging part of the board also the part that connects to the system? And if so could I solder both wires of the system connection and the charge port to the same points on the board?

Ok, I've read through the entire post, but before I go ahead and get the stuff I want to clarify. I want two (2) 3.7v Li-Po @ 2500mAh wired in series to equal 7.4v @ 2500mAh. The two batteries each have their own PCM(PCB). I have a few questions, though.

1) Do I still need the PCM/PCB for 7.4v that hailraizer mentioned at the beginning of the post, because I am raising the voltage, or is it ok, because they each have their own built in already?

2) Why do I need a smart charger as opposed to the AC adapter the psOne screen uses?

3) How would I run the system off the smart charger and charge the batteries without the charger turning off when the batteries are full? (Being as the smart charger would double as the AC adapter)

Below is an image of how I have my switch wired. It allows for charging the batteries while playing the game or playing the game off the battery, interchangeably without resetting the system. It is a DPDT switch.

I just need to clarify this before I do this.
If I had 4 of those cells and wired two sets in parallel to get two 3.7v 9400 mah packs. I would then wire them to this PCB: http://www.batteryspace.com/pcbfor74vli ... artup.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; To get a 7.4v 9400 mah battery.

Would that be correct? Also would I need the same charger mentioned in the first post?

Uhh you might not want that PCB. Minimum order 100 pieces.
Just use the board and charger under 7.4V.
