GameCube Portable Guide "How To and FAQ"
Moderator:Moderators
thanks man, its ok for me, feel free to copy it anywhere, anyway remember I shouldnt have all the credits,I used lot of diagrams of people here and just made my pics with their info inside. (for example I used gamevelver diagram pinouts for the regulator board reallocationg steep)Kyo wrote:Very nice and comprehensive guide. Mind if I put that on http://wocares.com/modding once it's done? I'll give credits, of course
I just consider this a small recompilation of the gamecube portabilizing info of this site, and I modified a bit the info to be easy for everyone, this may help this site and allow more GCPs to be born

Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To" [Unfinished]
listen, why don't you look at when the last post was? see that? it says december 3. that was over two months ago! It has not been updated since then. The guide was most likely abandoned, and it is against the rules here to make posts in old threads unless they contain useful imformation. Saying "this looks really nice" is not useful imformation, so why post?
rest in peace, Ronnie James Dio! \m/
Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To" [Unfinished]
well, I has been inactive for long time, and I forgot to edit the post, so the Kul_Guy101 post is not bad at all, is MY fault for let the guide "unfinished".
btw, I havent got time those days and also the guide talk only about most common stuff needed at the process, I know there are some parts missing at the guide like the batteries ,screen and casing, but those stuff depends per each TV/battery/cassing tools or design, so I cant explain it at all.
This means the guide basically is done, if someone have some questions or suggestions I can make small updates to the guide, but basically is done, I remember CronoTriggerfan offered me to sticky the guide, so if some moderator want to do it , it will be nice

Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To"
You could add some info about the batteries though, like what voltage is the highest you can go and the lowest, and what is good amerage. Other than that yea, I suppose your guide is done.
Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To"
done, added some text at end of guide about battery stuff, serial/parallel settings, amperage voltage.....etc

Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To"
No, no, thank you. Thanks to your information I know that I can safely power the gamecube with 14.8 volts with a regulator, this is great. Now I can buy 2 batteries and run them in series rather than buying am 11.1 volt battery. Now I just have to figure out how to charge both with one stock charger.

Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To"
I am just double checking, so this means that no one is going to do a casing section for this? (If my question is stupid I am sorry, I am new around here)

Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To"
The case is just what you stick it in. No case on here is going to look alike besides the premade ones from polycase.com. It doesn't matter that it's a gamecube, just use a regular case guide.

Re: GameCube Portable Guide "How To"
Is this polyacse.com a reliable source, do they follow up properly, because I am thinking about ordering a premade case for my first portable.
