so, for a while, i've wanted to turn one of my psps into a dedicated console. i often hook my psp up to my tv using my component cable, but i really do hate the psp controls.
so, anyway, all of this:
is going to be made into my Playstation Micro aka PSM!
just got some case work done so far.
this shouldn't be too long of a project. as long as my new job doesn't get in the way too much. ha!
well, things didn't go exactly as i hoped tonight. lol
here's the front piece - you can see some of the buttons had the epoxy pop out. heh. will def have to fix that.
sanding down the epoxy that is replacing the R button took me a looooooooooooooooong time, and it's still not 100% right, but it's a good start. took me so long tho, that i haven't even touched the L button side.
plan to get some more epoxy on the back half of the controller and the psp front still tonight.
got a coat of primer on the controller pieces and what used to be the front plate of the psp (will now be the bottom piece of the psm). can see the flaws that need fixed. quite pleased with where i am with this!
and i had to modify slightly the top of the controller so that it fits back together correctly, having removed the old portion the xbox wire went through and replace it with an hdmi port.
Looks good so far (not surprised there lol)...what do you plan on doing with the large 360 logo button?

it will be the psp home button. the purple buttons i have that i will be using aren't marked with 360 markings. so it's just a purple button that i will put the PS logo on.
it's gonna be black with purple buttons. to kinda match my personal psp. i have a piano black 3001 model, and swapped out the purple buttons form the hannah montana 3001 limited edition. i quite like how it looks! the psm will have darker purple, tho. was rather limited on choices when it came to finding 360 purple buttons. lol!
good portion of the casing is getting close to being done! it's just the umd side that still needs quite a bit of work.
it's kinda hard to see, but i put in a "screw post" of sorts since i have glued the battery door on. i'll only be using one of the 2 screws that were under the battery.
gotta get the nice seamless look around the battery door
