PSP analog sticks

Apparently, walmart.com is now selling PSP analogs (via a 3rd party) - 10 of them runs about $14 shipped, although they sell smaller packs as well.

Did anyone figure out how to get them working with other systems? I seem to recall people struggling with that, at least initially.

There is issue with the pots I believe.
A guy by the name of RDC designed a board for 3DS sliders to work as regular analog sticks.
