I wired another crystal in parallel with the old one + an switch,and...

Sadly,all i had at the time was an 11Mhz crystal,but compared to the 8Mhz one,it works fine.

Did you buy your crystal? Also, are the crystal's polarized? And where'd you get such a small switch? Is it a single pole double throw?

Sorry for not replying,but i was away.
All the parts are salvaged from broken/old electronics. The switch is an single pole double throw.
As for the crystal...I really do not know.
