gameboy classic phone

Post by flexoduss » Mon Mar 05, 2012 11:01 am

Hi there,

I'm trying to build a fully functional android gameboy phone
There is a motorola flipout inside with android 2.1.
I choose this phone because its small enough to fit the gameboy and i bought for only 80 euro's (105 dollar).

small video demonstration (testing the connections)

Already done:

- Make the motorola think the keyboard is opened even when its closed.
The phone uses some kind of magnetic field i just used a small piece of tape and a thin blade and placed it behind the sreen http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/83 ... 011444.jpg yeah wth it works.
- There is edge around the screen of the motorola i carefully scraped this edge down until it was even with the screen with a stanley knife lol XD. Because it looks silly if the screen isn't flat on the gameboy casing.
- Used the dremel on the gameboy case to make the hole 4 the screen bigger.
- Removed the qwerty keyboard

- 02/15/2012 Solder wires to the gameboy buttons

To do list:

- Sound+mic
- Key lock
- External battery 4 longer battery life
- Much more stuff......

Problems:

- Direct the sound of the earpiece and microphone to the casing of the gameboy.
A possible solution is a app that allows to use the sound of the earpiece of the phone and the microphone of a headset.

Are i can use some tubing to direct the sound of a earpiece from a headset between the tight space of the phone and the casing.
