I tried to do the Nomad LCD mod. It seemed simple enough, only four wires, but somehow things are messed up. The screen is somewhat garbled, in black and white and flashes on and off along with the power light. I've re seated the ribbon cable multiple times, and resolderd the wires a few times. The result never gets better. I uploaded a video so you all can see.
Any suggestions?

Re: Nomad LED mod. What did I do wrong?
Looks like my problem might have been getting the wrong monitor. I tried using it on my Genesis through the av cables and the picture still showed in black and white.

Sorry, I fixed the post. I meant LCD mod.
I tried installing a new LCD screen on it.

did you connect ground?
Some of these monitors just are picky about what systems you use. i know that some have issues with the genesis and n64. Perhaps you got one of those?
