PSP question

PSP question

I have a question. I am trying to make a PSP laptop sort of thing. I was thinking of just taking the controls and moving them to the bottom while leaving the main motherboard on the top. Only problem is I have a few idea on how to do this, but I am not good with soldering to really small connections on the PSP. I was either going to take a PS2 controller and make that the button controls while remove the controls from the top; or I was wondering, is it possible to solder to the conacts of the PSP controls and the PSP d-pad film??
