Gameboy Color Solar Powered

Post by hEAdAkE » Mon Jun 08, 2009 8:37 am

I want to make my gameboy color run on solar pannels, like the ones from calculators and stuff. but there are a couple of problems.

1. I know nothing about solar pannels :(
2. I am unfamilar with the workings of a game boy color :(
3. I dont know if this could even work :(

If you could give me some web adresses or some tips that would be great! :D

I'd stick some rechargeable batteries in your gameboy, and then hook a solar panel up to those to charge them. This link should help.

If you hook it up to work on solar power alone, you'll likely find yourself unable to play it very often.
what is this i don't even

you can power them straight from solar panels if you want, but I had to use two panels of roughly 160cm (squared) to power it properly.

Where would you connect the wires, currently I am using one battery, and connecting it to the battery ports, but it will not turn on, and the voltage is correct...
