We'll know if it's getting out of hand if one member says more than one, or if a whole page has only "phrases". But I have to admit that We are getting a bit out of had here.Skyone wrote:Would you guys all shut up with the poor innuendos?

Agreed. All the innuendo is old by now, this is way out of hand.thewise1 wrote:But I have to admit that We are getting a bit out of hand here.Skyone wrote:Would you guys all shut up with the poor innuendos?
Let's get this woodie back in hand, pronto.

Rekarp, a serious question: Are you going to use the plastic LED guides? Or are you going to do something different? I think you should change the power LED to yellow, personally.
Excellent

And so the fun ensues, lol, nice rekarp. Every time I see the red light on my ds it feels like a punch in the face.

Ok I am pulling this thread back on the rails.
Been working all day on it and I am not done for today. Just waiting for glue to dry.
More in a couple hours.

The depressed ports and jacks are caused by the thickness of the wood, right? And there's nothing you can do about it? Lame. Looking excellent though! I'm glad you're back to posting!

It won't look as bad as the pictures when I round the edges out so it will be more "flush".

Re: the Woodie DS
I noticed that there are gaps around some of the ports, specifically the charging port.

Yep there needs to be some wiggle room. If I make it really tight then issues like wood moisture and flex became a pain. When working with plastic issues such as this are non existent. Makes working with wood more of a challenge then plastics. Sometimes the grain of the wood splits and you are basically out the work you just put into the part.jjhammerstein wrote:I noticed that there are gaps around some of the ports, specifically the charging port.
Re: the Woodie DS
If I were you I'd make some small blocks to glue into the corners to preserve it's integrity, though I assume you've already worked that out.

Yep wood glue soaks into the wood. Harder then woodBibin wrote:If I were you I'd make some small blocks to glue into the corners to preserve it's integrity, though I assume you've already worked that out.
