GBC Rechargeable batteries.

Now I know I can power the GBC thru the 3V Input, but can that input recharge an inserted rechargeable battery? I don't have the necessary screwdriver to open it, so I can't check for the array myself (I tried the 2-prong, 4-prong, and making my own but they didn't work...) Just wondering if anyone knew.

No, unfortunately it does not. One of my first mods, years ago, was to take an official GBC rechargeable adapter and mod it permanently in the battery slot, then rewire the charge port to the normal GBC one. Worked great!

Let me see if I can find it... I have like 5 GBCs, I am not sure if the modded one is lent out, or if I have it. This was not recent, it was WAAAY back in the day, when the GBC was brand new.
