Anyone ever mess with a Sega Naomi?

Post by threedog » Thu Jul 26, 2012 9:30 pm

Despite their ungainly size and all those peripherals involved, it looks like one of these would be really easy to consolize, or at least use at home on a TV or computer monitor (VGA and RCA stereo straight off the board). Am I missing something, or is the system really that easy to adapt? And when I search for them on Ebay, there are a ton of them advertised for sale as broken/not working. Are they unreliable? When they do crap out, are they pretty easy to troubleshoot and fix? One last question: in what way are they supposedly similar to a Dreamcast? Thanks!
