DIY RGB to Component Encoder?

Post by FA-MAS » Thu Nov 12, 2009 11:48 am

Hey guys, first post. So I'm working on designing and etching a PCB for a supergun and I'd like to integrate the RGB to Component out on the Board. Superguns are pretty simple but I don't know anything about designing the video encoding part. Since I'd like to integrate it into my PCB, a prebuilt encoder wouldn't work. I'm wondering if anyone has a schematic or tutorial for the RGB to Component Encoder.

I know its not what you want, but take a look at this homemade one:

That's what you are getting into. So start searching for integrated circuits that do RGB encoding. The datasheets will probably have example circuits.
