It's the guy with the machinegun who's topless. I think he first appears on level 3, the ice stage in Metal Slug 1. He then gets eaten by a whale in one of the other ones, I can't remember which one.
Does he have a name?
Cookie for me!:P
Ha - that's the one!

Just wanted to bump this thread and let you guys know my dream arcade system has been found! I got a really cheap MVS cabinet without the main board (gotta scope it out on eBay). It's in mint condition and looks beautiful in my garage next to my metal DDR pad! :P

Good luck finding your dream cab! ;)

Jokes Skyler, nice find :) I really want to make a MAME cab. I discovered homemade MAME cabs before portables, but I decided to persue a portable as my first project because it was cheaper and easier. Still, if I get me some cash in the near future, I may well give a MAME cab a go :)

Galaga.

I have this on various formats and play it on the PC (MAME & TurboGraphics) and GP2x (MAME). I'm not that good at it really but love it and keep coming back to "have another go"!

I used to play it a lot in the arcades in the 80's; as with another arcade classic: 1942.

I intend to dualboot Galaga and DigDug in my already fully working DigDug machine. Just gotta fix a few CRT power problems causing screen waviness and a lack of degaussing. I need to recap the main power supply, but that's not too hard.

A Super Playchoice 10. To bad it's like the hardest thing to get ever.

My arcade game of choice would be either...

Street Fighter Alpha 3 (perfectly possible to own though really, CPS2 boards ftw!)
1942
Galaga
Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, or Mortal Kombat 2
The Simpsons (4-Player)

I prefer the more modern Arcade games, but Galaga is never tiring!

Nice find skyone! I've got a Neo Geo MVS board at home that's got an audio problem, I think the preamp is dead, PM me if you'd like to take it off my hands. I'd let it go cheap if you think you could fix it. It's an MV-1B series mobo.
Emulation isn't accurate. There is no substitute for real hardware!

Time Crisis or Metal Slug
or maybe that fancy F-zero game for the Triforce.
