An Excelent Free Find

I went to go to this Roller Rink in Frankfort IN for my little sisters birthday, but who cares? On the way back i saw on the side of the road on arcade game. Its this dart game and it looked pretty beat up to me but i wanted it. I was like "Oh snap" and my mom let me get it. I opened it up theres quite a bit in there. A coin door, 20 watt speaker, around 10 pushbuttens, 88 LEDS and much more. But I dont know what to do with it. I could restore it ( the guy said it only fell) salvage the parts and make something, or salvage the parts and sell them. IDK what do you guys think I should do.

It really depends on what the game is, how nce the cabinet is, and how much it would take to restore.

From what you described, it doesn't have a monitor? Or is it like a virtual darts game or something?

Theres no monitar on it, its called a scorpian (sting maybe?) the top part cabnet is the only thing beat up, i was thinking about taking the motherboard and stuff out of the unit and make like a counter top version out of it and use the bottom part to make a MAME machine or something. I'll try to post pictures of what mine looks like and see what you guys think
EDIT: I really dont care for darts and heck by basic coinecidence my next door neighbor has the exact same thing. So I reallly dont want to make it the darts again.

Awesome, although it sounds like you need to do some troubleshooting on the logic boards if you want it to work again. I have not heard of a scorpion brand dart machine, I have seen and done a little bit with something called an "arachnid" brand dart machine. Post up some pictures- I would say that if it is in really rough shape you may need to scrap it out, but my guess is that something minor broke or came uncoupled when it fell over. Probably something like broken wiring, or maybe a faulty power supply or something like that.

if restoring arcade games is half as fun as restoring pinballs then its awsome!

just one bit of advice...FIND THE MANUAL! you can often get them online! they have details of schemtics ect. it is indispensible while repairing

Hehe thats funny cause thats how I got my Ameri Darts cab and its not worth resoring a darts game cause nobody will buy it for a reasonable price.
