So, picked up a 20" CRT and installed it into the cabinet, looks a lot nicer.
Over the past few months I've noticed the amount of scratches and scuffs on the cabinet increase a lot, so I might do some repainting over summer. Not sure how to avoid the damage with the amount of use it gets though.

Perhaps put on a varnish/clear coat? It might help prevent scuffs and scratches a little better.
