Replacing capacitors

When replacing an electrolytic cap, (same value and voltage) does the -physical- size of the capacitor matter? In other words, my replacement capacitor has the same capacitance and voltage as the old one, but it's way smaller than the old one physically. Is that ok?

It is fine, different manufacturers use differing qualities of materials, as long as the ratings are the same you wont have a problem.
