Hey all. I have an odd situation. My friend connected his PS2 memory card to my PS3 only to find that its unreadable. The adapter works fine, but he blames me for the loss of his data. The data is still there (PS2/Ps3 says there is stuff on the card) it just cant be accessed. Is there any possible way for me to get the save files back? All I can think of is a raw dump of the card, but I have no idea how to do this. I do have a 3rd party adapter that comes with software to access the card on a Windows PC which might work, but I have no idea how I would go about it.
Anyone here have any ideas?

Freemcboot + File Manager
backup to usb, format memory card using a simple homebrew app.
put files back on memory card.
profit.
